EVERY $1 PROVIDES 3 MEALS!
The Commissioners and Cans Fund and Food Drive is a competition for the Commissioners of the Revenue offices in partnership with the Commissioners of the Revenue Association of Virginia and the Virginia food banks. Offices compete to collect the most funds and food during the time of year when resources are in short supply for food banks. Offices that raise the most funds and food per capita for each of the seven regional food banks in Virginia will receive recognition from the President of the Commissioners of the Revenue Association.
COMPETITION POINTS
Funds = 4 points per dollar received
Food = 1 point per pound received
Volunteer Bonus = 500 points per office for a volunteer shift scheduled during the month of August. (Actual volunteer time can occur between August 1 and October 31, 2023.)
PER CAPITA: All points earned are divided by the number of staff in the Commissioner of the Revenue team office to determine a per capita point total to level the playing field between large and small offices.

Click our DONATE button below to make your donation. Donating funds to the food bank is the most impactful way to provide meals to the neighbors in your community. Food banks are able to procure food at lower cost and allows the food bank to provide the nutritious food neighbors need most, such as healthy produce, meats and dairy.
Checks should be made payable to “Feeding Southwest Virginia” and include the name of the office on the memo line. Must be received by August 31st to receive credit.
