Full Time – Salem Distribution Center

The Class A Driver/Warehouse Associate will support the mission of Feeding Southwest Virginia by providing direct support in the daily operation of the warehouse including all duties related to shipping, receiving of food, warehouse maintenance, inventory control, food storage safety and distribution of products to agencies. Operate and maintain MHE and company vehicles according to procedure. Work and support the Operations Team to ensure a good team dynamic and warehouse operations.

Program Services Representative – Salem

Full Time – Salem Distribution Center

The Program Services Representative will support the mission of Feeding Southwest Virginia by developing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned partner programs in the food bank’s geographical area through systematic communication, site visits, and capacity development.

Work with existing programs and identify potential sites to ensure emergency food needs are met. Work with Programs Team to ensure a variety of food distribution resources are available in communities served through programs targeting children during out of school times, emergency food box programs, and on-site meal programs. Monitor program compliance throughout target areas

Abingdon Positions

Development and Volunteer Coordinator – Abingdon

Full Time – Abingdon Distribution Center

The Development and Volunteer Coordinator will support the mission of Feeding Southwest Virginia. FSWVA seeks an experienced development professional to manage a portfolio of current donors and prospective individuals to build the relationships that fund the work of the Food Bank. This position will play a key role in increasing growth in philanthropic revenue through expansion of individual and corporate charitable giving. The Development and Volunteer Coordinator must be an effective spokesperson for the mission of FSWVA and why it is worthy of significant philanthropic support.

The Development and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible to recruit and manage volunteers to fill the positions that are determined to be essential to the successful operation of the Abingdon facility of FSWVA on a continuing day-in day-out basis. This role will be a collaborative and supportive partner with the Abingdon team for successful implementation of a robust volunteer engagement program for all programs stemming from the site.
