The Kitchen Associate will be responsible for providing structured support to the Meal Production Instructor and staff. Responsible for assisting with meal production and complying with the CACFP/SFSP menus. Reports directly to the CSC Director and is responsible for assisting in the Meal Production Kitchen. In collaboration with the Meal Production Instructor the Kitchen Associate will be responsible for providing and overseeing tasks and duties given to CSC volunteers/interns. The CSC Kitchen Associate also instructs and proctors ServSafe Manager Certification materials and final examination.

Mobile Markets / CDL Driver – Salem
Full Time – Salem Distribution Center
The Mobile Market Solutions Driver will support the mission of Feeding Southwest Virginia by primarily executing the Mobile Markets Solution program, operating and maintaining the Mobile Markets (MMS) truck and equipment. He/she will work with the Mobile Market Team to ensure a variety of EBT approved food resources are available in communities served through MMS distribution sites targeting underserved areas within FSWVA’s service area. Secondary functions include working to support the overall operations of the foodbank, including loading, unloading, inter-location transfers, deliveries and retail or wholesale pickups, and all other tasks as assigned by the CEO, COO, and/or Warehouse Directors.

Mobile Market Coordinator – Salem
Full Time Grant Position – Salem Distribution Center
The Mobile Market Coordinator will support the mission of Feeding Southwest Virginia by selling groceries to people who want them in low-income, low access neighborhoods. The Mobile Market Coordinator is responsible for daily operations of a year-round mobile purchase market serving low-income communities to improve access to fresh fruits and vegetables. The Coordinator will function as the market’s point of contact for vendors, clients, and community partners and will represent the market and the Food Bank within the community. They will regularly interact with, and at times serve as liaison to: customers, external stakeholders, vendors (produce wholesalers and farmers), community partners, community leaders, city offices, and the media—referring to other Food Bank departments or partners as appropriate.
The Coordinator position serves many functions for the Mobile Purchase program, and within parameters established through dialogue with Management will be responsible for participating in: Community Relations, Marketing, Pricing, Inventory Control, Sales, Sourcing, and Profit and Loss Performance Analysis. Incumbent will be required to understand the consumers’ and vendors’ needs, and with the support of the President and CEO and other Food Bank staff work to ensure those needs are addressed.

Mobile Market Assistant – Salem
Full Time Grant Position – Salem Distribution Center
The Mobile Market Assistant’s primary function is to provide full support to the Mobile Market initiative including introducing and expanding SNAP assistance to qualifying low-income, food insecure individuals. Organizing and supplying SNAP approved perishable and non-perishable food items for sale in rural and underserved markets. Ensure 100% capture of all POS / EBT transactions, suggesting potential demand-based repeat or new items within the Mobile Market framework, and provide pertinent client information in order to solicit strategic long-term funding for all mobile distribution programs. The Assistant will work closely with the Mobile Market Coordinator to ensure client needs are met, and to provide dynamic plans and SOP’s to bring consistency to the program.
Responsible to inspect carryover products for re-use, create a document to track and document non-saleable carryover items by category, and/or description, for disposal in support of financial profit and loss analysis. Analyze and edit SOP’s as needed based on distribution site experiences, and all other tasks as assigned by the President and CEO.
