Feeding Southwest Virginia can always use more food! In addition to an office or church food drive, consider taking up a fund collection as well. The food bank has great purchasing power through partnerships with grocery wholesalers. With each $1 you donate, the food bank can distribute 6 healthy meals .
This season’s food drive is: “Emergency COVID-19 Response” Please download this flyer and post around your office, school, or church. Most needed items include:
- Canned Soup
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Meats
- Canned Fruit
- Macaroni & Cheese/Pastas
- Canned Vegetables/Dry Beans
- Dried Fruit
No glass, please! Glass items can chip and break easily in the boxes.
Please collect only nonperishable food items. Do not collect any homemade items and please keep personal care items separate from food items.
Please plan to deliver the food drive yourself to one of our three locations to help us keep labor and fuel costs down. We are available Monday through Friday 9:00-12:00 and 1:00 to 3:30.
Do you need boxes?
You are welcome to use whatever boxes that you have on hand or we can provide you with large bins.
The most successful food drives are FUN! Don’t forget to share pictures of your food drive as we love to post them on our website and social media.
